Beach Road by Jen Kingwell Designs for Moda.

"After relocating Amitie Textiles to sunny new surroundings in Torquay, Beach Road marks a turning point for me in my creative endeavours. Inspired by my love of prints from the 50s and 60s, this brighter palette and collection of cheerful prints filled with quirky elements reflects my mood living on the beautiful south east coast of Australia." - Jen Kingwell

Small Things... Mystical and Magical

Evelyn's Homestead

Evelyn’s Homestead is based on the life of Evelyn Cameron 1868-1928. Evelyn was a well-to-do Englishwoman who came to Montana on her honeymoon with husband Ewen. Married in London in 1889, the couple sought an adventurous honeymoon in the wilds of Montana. They quickly fell in love with the fresh air, the game and the untamed wilderness. Instead of returning home, Evelyn purchased land and began ranching, importing polo ponies to breed and sell back in England. The venture was a disaster. Evelyn’s money ran out within a few years but by then, Evelyn was relishing all aspects of ranch life. To make ends meet, she took in English boarders. When one of them left behind a camera, Evelyn taught herself how to use it and travelled through-out the region photographing the people of Montana, especially the hardy women who could do everything. She was fascinated by the how-to’s of pioneer life. There wasn’t a chore on the ranch that Evelyn couldn’t do herself and she loved every minute. (Reference: Montana Historical Society)

Yuki

"Yuki means "snow" in Japanese and this collection is my interpretation of icicles, frost in the air and snowflakes, from those tiny wisps to the large flakes that fall like feathers. The snowflakes seem set against a deep blue sky when I look at them… or perhaps they are the cracked ice on the surface of a frozen lake in the mountains. Yuki is a winter collection that can transition into quilts and projects for any season." - Debbie Maddy

Regency Blues

Regency Blues by Christopher Wilson-Tate is a beautiful collection of prints inspired by quilts in my private collection of antique British Quilts, dating from the late 18th Century and early 19th Century.

"In my almost forty years of travelling throughout the British Isles finding and purchasing antique quilts, I wanted my first collection with Moda Fabrics to have connections to my native Northumberland. The prints are drawn from quilts originating in the North East of England, and the prints have been named for some of the beautiful places there; Berwick, Lindisfarne and Chipchase." - Christopher Wilson-Tate
