Surprise 20th Anniversary Party!

And what a surprise it was - Geoff and Jean Sewell who started The Cotton Patch 20 years ago this week were absolutely taken aback by the surprise that the staff had laid on for them on Tuesday.

A meeting with a supplier was put on hold while they were asked to come downstairs for a very important event. The pictures show the beautiful display of Moet, Anniversary cake, balloons, indoor firework (fortunately the 20th Anniversary celebration did not burn the premises down!), chocolate fountain, strawberries and marshmallows! We know how to celebrate!!!!

Margaret and the other staff had conspired (very effectively) with Nik, Liz and David to ensure that they had no idea what scheming had been going on. Jean and Geoff's grand daughter Ellie who has been working at the shop recently was 6 weeks old when the shop opened - doesn't time fly when you're having a good time!

It was fantastic because even staff who aren't normally in on a Tuesday had travelled to join in the celebrations - all the staff with champagne glasses in hand are shown below.

So all that remains to say it a BIG THANK YOU to eveyone involved in planning - it meant a huge amount to the Directors to have such a wonderful suprise and....here's to the next twenty!!
