Quilts in Morocco is Kaffe Fassett's latest patchwork project book fro Rowan and was launched on the Cotton Patch stand at the Festival of Quilts. We now have a number of the quilts kitted for you so that you can recreate the designs as shown in the book.

Kaffe Fassett's Quilts in Morocco.

In his sixteenth book, Kaffe Fassett's Quilts in Morocco: 20 designs from Rowan for patchwork and quilting. World-renowned textile artist, Kaffe Fassett, takes us on a trip of visual delight to Fez – Morocco's enchanted, medieval-style city where bold, rich colours and beautiful mosaics abound. Fez, known as the soul of Morocco, is the ideal setting to inspire Kaffe's brilliant new collection, using the latest Rowan fabrics:

Practical instruction. Outstanding artistry. Stunning photography throughout, a practical materials list, step-by-step instructions with useful tips, and 80 colorful diagrams, illustrations, and templates for piecing the quilt make this book a must-have guide to outstanding artistry.

Above are a selection of quilts from the book

A showcase for 20 brilliant new quilts. Kaffe collaborated with a team of hand-picked designers whose remarkable quilts are featured throughout the book. Among the designs are Liza Prior Lucy's Blue Morocco and Spice Mountains; Pauline Smith's Teapots and Mellow Ninepatch; Brandon Mably's Carnaby; and Fountains by Ruth Eglinton.

Dazzle your senses. Radiant photographs by Debbie Patterson truly capture the saturated gem tones and deeply colorful, striking patterns of Kaffe's inventive designs. Kaffe's quilt Paisley Columns features an intricate paisley fabric used to dramatic effect in the broad vertical stripes, and in his Strata quilt, the deep zigzags of color highlight his energizing design.

Beautiful quilts artfully interpreted! Don’t miss this opportunity to indulge in an amazing experience. See the enchantment of Morocco come alive in gorgeous quilts you can make.

Empire Fabrics by Parson Gray

Just in is a new range of fabrics called Empire by Parson Gray. Empire is the 5th fabric collection by designer David Butler for Free Spirit fabrics under his brand guise Parson Gray. Empire reflects David’s ongoing exploration of global design and richly muted jewel tones. Modern interpretations of ancient weavings, architecture and folk art from Japan, China, and India combined in hand-drawn elements create a story across three distinct colour palettes. These three palettes are designed to work in harmony with each other, and also with past Parson Gray collections Vagabond, World Tour, Seven Wonders and Curious Nature.

Beautiful quilt, Mucha inspired with Amy Butler and Philip Jacobs fabrics.

Nik our fabric buyer and all round fabric and quilt guru has been working on this quilt for awhile. But what a quilt! It is not finished yet but it shows what can be achieved with the TAP paper, some excellent hand applique (which you have to see on the original to really appreciate it) and an inspiring design led by the beautiful fabrics themselves.

"Work in progress on a wall hanging featuring my youngest daughter in her prom dress. The layout was inspired by an Alphonse Mucha illustration. Two designs made this happen, an Amy Butler print from her Soul Blossoms range for the circular border and Philip Jacobs wonderful Daffodil and Dogwood design for the foreground. First time hand piecing -could be the last!"
